Is Turbo Tax Home and Business worth the extra money for me?I have my own business (sole proprietor). It generates less than $10k per year and has no employees. I utilize deductions for home office, vehicle expenses and general office product expenses but that is about it. Is it worth buying the Turbo Tax Home Business or can I get away with buying the Deluxe version?

Looking at some of the answers that you have received, I believe the direction they have been giving you is more like working for another party from home rather than a home business.
As to what home businesses you can do, well it depends on a few factors. Let me start by highlighting that you have to do a SWOT analysis of yourself first before even contemplating starting a home business (SWOT – Strength Weakness Opportunity Threat analysis). The reason you should do this is to determine if this is the right time to start a business. I did this when I started mine. Take a piece of paper and list out your stregths and weaknesses. Check around to see what opportunities you have as well as what threats would face you should you decide to enter the business.
I suggest that after you list out your strengths, find a partner/s who can complement you and cover your weaknesses. Find out from your strengths and passions/hobbies what is a workable business (i.e. a small home bakery if you are good at baking or freelance website designing if you are good Dreamweaver etc.) and than start doing a business plan.
When you do your business plan, it is important to note especially your cashflow. Always make sure you have a positive cashflow else you will encounter huge problems later on.
There are lots of other factors such as legalities, environment and abilities but I will assume that you will do your homework.
As to some ideas, will not knowing what your strengths are i'll just shoot a couple.

I have found that as far as housework goes, the best thing to do is schedule that in the morning. First thing I do is put the coffee on, and while it's brewing I quickly dust the living room and run the vacuum through, then I tidy the kitchen. I sneak the bathroom in whenever I have a spare 15 minutes or so, but if I don't do it one day, it's not the end of the world.
I find that sometimes when I just need a little break from work, I actually enjoy throwing a load of laundry in or quickly cleaning something. I use that time to think of my next move in business. Some days, I'm running around with a rag while talking on the phone! Some days, no housework gets done at all, other than the basics.
When you have a little toddler, schedules get messed up, and that's okay…that's why you chose to work at home in the first place.
Once your business is running fairly smooth, you will find that the other stuff just falls into place.
You will find that you aren't as productive at a certain time of day, you see a pattern, so then you start to use that time for other things like getting groceries, Dr's appts and so on.

Just prioritize, do what you can when you can, and enjoy working from home and raising your child.

You might have a hack that is incompatible with Open for Business. Copy your Downloads folder and paste it to your desktop. Then run your game and see if the home business option appears. If it does, then you know it is something in your Downloads folder causing the problem. It will probably be a hack. Hacks can be identified by using Cleaninstaller.
