Starting a Home Business – Exposing the 5 Big Benefits of Working From Home

The successful home business owners throughout the world share in a lifestyle often unmatched by company jobs. From a survey done by Home Office Computing Magazine, 98 % are happier working from home. Here are the 5 big benefits of a home run business.
1) Money: On average the earnings of a home run business in America is about $60,000/year. The amount of money that can be earned in a home run business can be staggering. There is great potential in home-run businesses to achieve high incomes and profits. The income minus the costs equals the profits, which goes directly to the home business owner. This simple math shows that it’s all about big profits provided the business provides a saleable product or service.
2) Personal Satisfaction: This may be the most profound benefit to most home businesses. It is a position of great feeling to own a home business. It is a feeling of achievement, and of service rendered. It is more satisfying according to the level of good the business is doing for people. The more the home business is helping people, the more general good it is doing. This is directly related to how good it makes the owner feel. It is good to give!
3) No Daily Commute: Another important factor in the lifestyle of a home business person is the convenience of simply being at home. This point can be emphasized to a low degree, or a very high degree of significance. It depends on the person’s normal daily traveling time from home to the workplace. On average it could be 30 minutes commute to work every day and an equal time on returning home. Home businesses benefit because they save on the travel expenses as well as the time it takes. Home business owners are able to simply wake at their convenient start time and set the hours themselves.
4) The Boss: Home businesses have the benefit of having internal control. The home business owner is the boss. As the boss, all the decisions are made, the hours of work are chosen, the rewards are given, the punishments are devised, the business is managed, and there is total control. Calling the shots as it were is a dream for most people out there and there is a real feeling of power.
5) Life Security: In today’s climate of economic uncertainty, the most secure of jobs are home based jobs. This is so because, when times get tough, home businesses can work harder and survive. However, some company paying jobs cannot be relied upon to remain secure no matter how hard the person works. There is more security in a home business, and the power is with the home business person. She/he can make it or break it. It’s in their control.
To summarise, these 5 big benefits are the rewards that may be reaped from a successful home based business. In fact, the process of building the home business can be as much fun as the mentioned benefits. It is as much about the journey and the person you become, as the tangable benefits and results of working from home.

Help answer the question about home business
What works best for other home business owners?I currently am running my business out of my home rather than out of my office because I have a toddler and my husband's business is really busy. I need to be home during the day to take care of my daughter in addition to doing all of the house work. What works better for other home business owners: designating a day or two to just getting most of the house work done and leaving the rest to do mostly business OR splitting nearly every day up between doing house work and business?
I've recently tried splitting an entire week's worth of housework between 7 days and have a long to-do list for my business that I would pick tasks from but I would still get disorganized and am being too inefficent. I cannot have a specific hour to hour schedule because of my toddler, I need to be flexible. Any suggestions?

Looking at some of the answers that you have received, I believe the direction they have been giving you is more like working for another party from home rather than a home business.
As to what home businesses you can do, well it depends on a few factors. Let me start by highlighting that you have to do a SWOT analysis of yourself first before even contemplating starting a home business (SWOT – Strength Weakness Opportunity Threat analysis). The reason you should do this is to determine if this is the right time to start a business. I did this when I started mine. Take a piece of paper and list out your stregths and weaknesses. Check around to see what opportunities you have as well as what threats would face you should you decide to enter the business.
I suggest that after you list out your strengths, find a partner/s who can complement you and cover your weaknesses. Find out from your strengths and passions/hobbies what is a workable business (i.e. a small home bakery if you are good at baking or freelance website designing if you are good Dreamweaver etc.) and than start doing a business plan.
When you do your business plan, it is important to note especially your cashflow. Always make sure you have a positive cashflow else you will encounter huge problems later on.
There are lots of other factors such as legalities, environment and abilities but I will assume that you will do your homework.
As to some ideas, will not knowing what your strengths are i'll just shoot a couple.
1) Home Bakery
2) Freelance design
3) Internet Trading
4) Doll Making (Don't laugh, US$29 Bil Industry)
5) Home Pornography (Just threw this in as Porn has always been a big industry)
Hope this sparks you!
The way you go about setting up a home business varies depending what the business is going to be. There are only a couple real constants and so its those two that I will address.
1) Get an eye-catching web page. This is the most significant thing because you want people to be attracted to your business. It should suit whatever product you are selling but also be unique and fun. Most importantly, it should give the appearance of professionalism.
2) Get a toll free number. A catchy 1-800 number is something any business should have. There's a reason EVERY Fortune 500 company has one. A toll free gives customers easy access to contact you without paying long distance charges. It also adds to the appearance of professionalism. And a customer will remember the number and be more likely to find you later. It's a fact that a toll free number can increase business by as much as 600%. I recommend checking out http://www.tollfreenumber.org. They specialize in working with small businesses so they've got the lowest prices.
Hope this helps =)
Nice video, make sure to look at a another network marketing opportunity called TeamWork Revolution!
The important thing is that you get the right answer, and one that you can depend on. The Home Business program provides more hand-holding for those needing business guidance. A business with 10k of revenue often has as many issues as one with 200k in revenue.
So the answer is… it depends on your needs.

The best home business that you can be sure is not a scam is one that you start yourself. It will depend on what you want, how you define to be interesting. A person may consider a pet sitting business to be the most exciting work in the world, while another person would rather watch TV than take care of dogs.
The key is to determine what your interests are, what you want to do, what is suitable for your lifestyle and your overall goals, and what can fit with your resources.
Dan Ramsey in his book "101 Best Home Businesses" has a chapter on how to find YOUR best home business. He suggests these 10 steps:
1. List 5 things you do best
2. List how others would benefit from what you do best
3. Find out how to give people what they want
4. Learn the value of your services to others
5. Find out who else offers similar services
6. Learn from the successes of others
7. Learn from the failures of others
8. Plan your own success
9. Make low cost mistakes
10. Enjoy what you do and how you do it
He then made suggestions on the best home businesses according to type. Here are a few of them:
Best Businesses Using Craft or Physical Skills
- antique restoration
- auto detail service
- carpet cleaning business
- errand/delivery service
- housecleaning business
Best Service Businesses
- bed and breakfast operator
- caregiver
- catering service
- senior day care center
- tutoring service
Best Professional Businesses
- desktop publisher
- magazine writer
- import/export service
- income tax preparation service
- event planner
You might have a hack that is incompatible with Open for Business. Copy your Downloads folder and paste it to your desktop. Then run your game and see if the home business option appears. If it does, then you know it is something in your Downloads folder causing the problem. It will probably be a hack. Hacks can be identified by using Cleaninstaller. They will show up in red. http://sims2pack.modthesims2.com/
You will have to remove all your hacks then keep adding them back one by one to find out which one is causing the problem.
Finding the right home business opportunity is a challenge. There are many people who have been searching for the right online opportunity but never really did find what they want. If you really want to find the best home based business internet work opportunity, you should do some research.
A good source of info for online business are the entrepreneur magazines. You could subscribe to one or two types of them and learn about setting up an online business. They usually offer some very good insights when it comes to setting up your business.
Another way for you to find the right home based internet business opportunity is to ask for referrals from friends and relatives. If you know someone who has an online business, they are one of your best sources of info. The good thing about asking for their advice is that they already have experience and could help you out or give you some tips on how to get started.
If you don't know anyone who has an online business, you could join forums as well. There are online communities that discuss working from home and some are willing to share their knowledge. To find one of these, you can just simply launch a search by typing the keywords. In a matter of minutes, you can probably find several posts.
I've been working at home for over a year now. I knew absolutely nothing about it either but I stumbled upon something called Maverick Money Makers. I saw it online and on television, so I gave it a shot and it has worked nicely for me. It is very informative and basically walks you through everything step-by-step. It does cost to become a member and have access to all of this material but I'm pretty sure there is a 90 day money back guarantee if you decided you weren't interested.
Good luck and I hope this helps you!
I tried some and finally found one that I enjoy!
I started a home based business that is 100% free. You can do the same. It's legitimate and we are trying to help everyone and make a difference. Again it's free, you don’t have to sell anything, there is no qualifying for income, and all your tools are free. There is nothing to lose and I enjoy it. Let me know if you want more info.

I have found that as far as housework goes, the best thing to do is schedule that in the morning. First thing I do is put the coffee on, and while it's brewing I quickly dust the living room and run the vacuum through, then I tidy the kitchen. I sneak the bathroom in whenever I have a spare 15 minutes or so, but if I don't do it one day, it's not the end of the world.
I find that sometimes when I just need a little break from work, I actually enjoy throwing a load of laundry in or quickly cleaning something. I use that time to think of my next move in business. Some days, I'm running around with a rag while talking on the phone! Some days, no housework gets done at all, other than the basics.
When you have a little toddler, schedules get messed up, and that's okay…that's why you chose to work at home in the first place.
Once your business is running fairly smooth, you will find that the other stuff just falls into place.
You will find that you aren't as productive at a certain time of day, you see a pattern, so then you start to use that time for other things like getting groceries, Dr's appts and so on.
Don't try to be SuperMom/Super Business Woman/ Super Wife/ Super House Maid, or you will burn yourself out.
Just prioritize, do what you can when you can, and enjoy working from home and raising your child.
Keep focused on your goals, re-visit your "Why" and your goals every day, and go after them!
If you only have one phone line, you can deduct long distance calls that are for business purposes. You cannot deduct any of the expense for the local service. If you choose to add a second line for exclusive business use, that associated expenses would be fully deductible. This is applicable regardless of your business form, proprietor or corporation.
